This is an enclosure for an amplifier for amateur radio. It is part of a comprehensive project covering all major aspects of an efficient DIY design, leading to a minimalistic, but field deployable device. Its main characteristics are:
* 30 to 50 W output
* 2 to 2,5 W input
* 12 V to 14 V supply
* Works 40 m to 20 m bands, expandable
* Harmonics Suppression via LPF
* PTT (active low)
* Passive cooling, ready for active venting
* Time required for building: 6 to 8 h
* Total hardware cost: approx. 50 €
The technical design is based on an amplifier kit which is readily available online at favorable terms. Compliance with regulations is ensured by adding switchable low-pass filters for which a PCB layout is provided. Last but not least this 3D printed enclosure provides convenient mounting and protects the whole system.
More detailed documentation and supplemental material (PCB files, drilling templates...) is available on my website: http://www.oe1cgs.at/50w-hf-verstaerk
