This is a remix of Nellson's spindle mount:
https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3546359
I wanted to make some tweaks to his work but I couldn't import his files into my OnShape so I thought I'd do it from scratch to learn about lofting.
The main differences:
- beefier connection to the mpcnc tool mount
- magnets are placed into pockets that can be sealed to slow the inevitable rust that happens to them
- the vacuum foot comes away from the ER11 part of the spindle without a fight now
- almost no cleaning after printing
- no support structures required
Print the base and the vacuum foot magnet sides down and no support will be needed.
You need:
(4) M4x12 button head screws to attach the base to the spindle
(6) M4x20 screws to attached the parts to the tool mount
(6) 8mm (dia) x 3mm (thick) Neodymium magnets. You could buy 12 and double up for extra magnetism should you think you need it :)
