While the new spools from 5DollarFilament are stronger and more robust, it's still nice to have two stable bore holes on either side of the spool that match the spool holder on your 3D Printer.
This is a small snap on stabilizer that should give your spool a smooth ride. You can adjust the bore size along with the height and width of the printed walls using the included scad file.
I also recommend adding a ring of filament around the forks as shown in the picture above if you encounter any trouble with feeding on your particular 3D Printing setup.
I included two bore sizes, 53mm which matches the standard welding wire spool bore and a 31mm which fits spool holders such as those found on MonoPrice 3D Printers and others.
Of course you can have any bore size you want by editing the scad file.
