5l Plastic Container Cap

A cap suitable for most five litre (5l) plastic containers. The outside diameter of the container threads is approx 37mm and the pitch is 5mm. This model does not have the same thread profile as the container but it's been designed with a standard ISO thread of such a pitch and dimension that it engages easily and rotates smoothly. If you over-tighten it'll strip the threads off. Comes with a sealing washer to place inside the cap which must be printed in a soft material such as TPU. Best printed on a smooth engineering plate and fitted into the cap with the smoothest face towards the container lip. My example sealed such that the container was watertight even when left inverted but this is not guaranteed.
