*Updated version of this extruder can be found [here](http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1322641)* This is an experimental extruder design that may be compatible with some [Eustathios](https://plus.google.com/communities/108524206628971601859) printers (I'm using [Eric Lien](https://plus.google.com/+EricLiensMind/about)'s [Eustathios v2 Spyder](https://github.com/eclsnowman/Eustathios-Spider-V2) variant). This extruder is designed to switch between bowden, direct drive [Gear Head](http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:892468), and direct drive [Bondtech](http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:892451) using the linked extruder parts. I may redesign it once I have a better idea which configurations I prefer. The main differences with this extruder are the following: * Allows switching between different configurations (bowden, direct drive, bondtech, and gearhead) * It is much larger (and heavier), expect to lose about 1cm build area in x and y (significantly more y in BondTech direct drive mode) * It is more difficult to assemble and install so I'd recommend starting with one of the other designs if building a new printer * Hotend height is higher (this may cause problems with some bed configurations? - I'm using a custom bed configuration) * More CFM for part cooling (I prefer to run with more cooling than most) * I don't know if the extruder cooling is sufficient for warmer environments or heated build chambers.
