I wanted a better case for my whoops. The rectangular and profiled boxes with snap on lids are nice, but the lids tended to fall off in my backpack. The hinged boxes with latches were ok, until I started breaking parts on them.
I wanted something that was tough (no small parts to break), secure (no lids to fall off in my backpack) and scalable (easy to modify to fit any sized whoop).
So I drew up a threaded box in FreeCAD. I can easily modify the size in FreeCAD to fit other size whoops and it should be simple to scale up in a slicer and still function. It has a custom thread profile based loosely on the ACME thread but modified to print without supports.
This prints well in PLA and fits all of my 65mm whoops, both analog and HDZero.
I may add some other features like a drop in tray to hold props, but it is fully functional as is.
