I designed these lids to take advantage of canned food containers. It's a small contribution to household recycling and perhaps prevent some of the millions of cans discarded daily from being thrown away.Print your lids and put those cans to new uses!I prepared two types of lids, ones to print with PLA filament that is rigid. The others for printing with TPU filament, which is flexible achieving an almost airtight seal.As possibly the sizes of the cans are not the same for all countries, I leave here a list of the diameters (to the rim) of MY cans. With this reference and by calculating a simple rule of three you can get the percentage of scale needed for the lids to fit properly on any can.I recommend starting from the closest measurement so that the skirt of the lid does not get too long or too short.Example:The can of pâté from Argentina (diameter 67.6 mm) is almost the same as the small can of tuna from Spain (diameter 66 mm).The count would be as follows:Scale % = (Diam. can of Spain * 100) / Diam. can of Argentina.(66*100) / 67.6 = 97.63 %Reference of rim diameters of the cans used for this design:Pate can: Diameter 67.6 mm (Pate_Lid files)Tuna Can: Diameter 86.0 mm (Tuna_Lid files)Tomato Can: Diameter 75.0 mm (Tomato_Lid files)Peach Can: Diameter 101.5 mm (Peach_Lid Files)3D PRINTING SETTINGSFDM Creality Sermoon D1 FDM PrinterMaterial: PLANozzle: 0.4 mmLayer thickness: 0.2 mmFilling: 40-50%Top solid layers: 2Lower solid layer: 2Perimeters: 3Supports: NoSpeed: 80 mm/sMaterial: TPUNozzle: 0.4 mmLayer thickness: 0.2 mmFilling: 40-50%Top solid layers: 4Lower solid layer: 4Perimeters: 4Supports: NOSpeed: 30 mm/s
