Welcome to MechCraft, a series of interlocking hex blocks designed to be used as terrain for various game systems such as BattleTech.This set is the core of the MechCraft system, and provides the basic components needed to start printing your own maps. I also find these pieces make a nice presentation platform for miniatures on your shelf or display case.At the heart of the system is the "Riser", which come in various shapes and can be used to form hills, valleys, lakes, and other features.Secondly, there are "Caps". Caps are essentially short Risers intended to sit on the top layer. These give the terrain additional color and can be used to convey information like grass, water, snow, etc.The next component is "Rings" which sit on the outer lip of the caps, so a model can occupy the inner area, while the ring is used to denote some temporary characteristic of the tile such as fire, smoke, objectives, or vegetation.Finally, holding everything together are the "BasePlates", upon which
