My son wanted to print some of the models by [bcc20009](https://www.thingiverse.com/bcc20009/about) to build a shadow box to play with. Aside from the fireball model posted here, you can see these two models by him in the preview image:
* [Bowser Collectable](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1320891)
* [Mario Collectable](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1298771)
He wanted Bowser's fireball to go with them. So, I found an image, transformed it into a character map and then transformed that into OpenSCAD to render the STL. The two other models were painted as he wanted better color matching, but these were printed using Hatchbox Yellow, Hatchbox White, and AMZ3D Red, all PLA. It almost took longer to swap spools than it did to print.
I've included the Perl 6 program I wrote. It could be modeled pretty easily to render any similar 2D model, but you will need to install [Rakudo Perl 6](https://rakudo.org/) to run it.
P.S. I realized after printing that the fireball was rend
