This is my first STL created with Blender (or anything).
You will need to scale the shelf to 8 inches [203.2mm] (the long way) before slicing. Had an issue getting it to scale as such.
Made this to make pegboard shelving for our miniature collection.
Pardon the real world pictures: Had a warping issue with the print, but the file works fine. Wanted to show it to scale with minis.
