8" Scrub plane iron template

I have yet to test this. So, please give me feedback if you give this a go before me.

This is an 8" Radius scrub plane template. This is used as a guide to mark the iron with a sharpie so to identify where the edge will be . Grind the iron to match the curvature of this template before the bevel is ground in.

After the edge matches the shape of the template, then you can grind a bevel. Note: while grinding the bevel you will need to tilt the blade back and forth following the newly established bevel.

Once the bevel is established, you will need to hone the iron. Please research how to do this if you are not confident in your sharpening skills. Paul Sellers has some guides on how to do this.
