While the Empire and their Dwarven Allies may favour heavier artillery pieces, they employ those guns in pre-prepared static positions and rarely if ever move from them. Here in the fringes? We've learned the value in smaller horse drawn guns that can quickly unlimber on the flanks of our foes once the lines have clashed. Doubly so if you're lucky enough to have a volley gun on hand.
