Funeral-Bound Serfs The Funeral-Bound Serfs are the lowest and most numerous figures within the funeral march, a crawling mass of ruined humanity bound together by grief rather than command. Their bodies are twisted, emaciated or bloated by sickness, marked with crude brands and ritual scars that no longer hold meaning. Many show crude swine-like traits — warped jaws, coarse patches of bristle, distorted snouts — mutations worn without pride or understanding. Their eyes weep the same cold black blood as their betters, though for them it is not memory that leaks out, but identity. They were not knights, nor warriors, nor chosen.
