SP17: Rolling Ball Clock is my largest and most exciting clock. It is powered entirely using 3/4" (19mm) steel balls. Runtime is 38 hours with an accuracy of 1-2 minutes per week. A manual winding mechanism lifts the balls back to the top. The overall size is 9.15x10.75x33.5" (23x27x85cm). It prints in around 120 hours on a SnapMaker U1 using 5kg of PLA. Despite its size, it is relatively easy to assemble. The non-printed bill of materials is quite small. You will need some 3/4" steel balls, 28" of 1/2" EMT conduit, two sizes of screws, two sizes of metal rods, and two sizes of ball bearings. A complete description is in the assembly guide.
