Some 8Bitdo SNES controllers (SF30, SN30, SF30Pro, etc...) randomly give diagonal inputs. The common solution is to stack binder hole reinforcement stickers around the dpad PCB pads.
This fits my SF30-Pro, but should probably fit most other SNES style Dpads.
To install, take apart the controller (See youtube for teardown videos), and glue or tape (preferably Kapton) this to the PCB so the black conductive pads for the Dpad are in the holes. If using tape, ensure the tape doesn't cover any other pads or screw holes.
This could probably be modified in some way to snap into place, or be held in place be the existing screw holes.
