Clips that hold servos in place when building with foam board. This removes the need to glue servos into the foam, making it easier to swap servos from one project to another without destroying the previous project, or having to clean off old glue. Perfect for Flite Test style foam board airplane construction. Or any other foam board projects.
This is sized and tested with Tower Pro 9g servos mounted in, R.L. Adams Foam board.
Make sure you add an extra 1/8" to the length of the opening to allow room for the servo and the thickness of both clips. The Tower Pro 9g servo is about 7/8" long, so I typically cut my openings at 1" and they snap right in.
I sometimes use a pick or tiny screwdriver to help pry/wiggle the clips over the servo, and to remove them. Using to much force when installing/removing may damage the surrounding foam board. Practice installing on a scrap piece before installing on a project.
I am proud of this one, the idea just came to me while I was removin
