I needed a portable, lightweight, convenient rack to hang targets from when out shooting, and didn't like the cost of commercial target holders. this joint lets you use any 3/4" pole as a crossbar with 1/4" poles for the legs. the hole allows hanging a weight, running a second pole, or run lashings to a tent peg in the ground. for light weight, use wood, for durability you can use 1/4" steel rods and 3/4" conduit.
i printed mine in flex PLA, TPU filament would also be a good choice, you ideally want a material with some give and flexibility, the brittleness of regular PLA would be a major flaw if you want this frame to hold any appreciable weight, such as hanging clays from it as i intend to.
