After testing for a while I've decided this isn't a good design. The diffusion layer is pointless, and just encourages over heating, and the mounting bracket wasn't very good. My new, and more traditional, horizontal mount LED strip can be found here - it works with the same eBay LED strip. The design was useful in learning FreeCAD, and the files could be useful for others so I'll leave them here, but there'll be no future updates. Feel free to modify these if you like. ------------------------------- I found a cheap LED strip on ebay, powered from the A1 Mini AMS port, but didn't trust it's intended mounting method (stuck below the Y axis), so designed a mount for it.
