Just wanted to share my Acetone Vapor Bath setup.
The glass container has a 4.25" mouth opening which a standard coffee mug top fits through easily.
I merely pried the metal rim off of a portable coffee mug top to be used as a rest at the bottom. To keep it centered, I drilled 4 holes on the sides and threaded bolts with nuts though them. Once inside the jar, the bolts are turned until they each hit the sides of the jar.
For the basket, I found a metal food skimmer, removed the plastic handle and bent the loops upwards. I squished the mesh (which allows the acetone to smooth the bottom as well) until it formed somewhat of a flat surface for the prints to sit on. I then took some wire and looped it in and around the loops while making sure the top of the wire would fit inside the jar.
Next came the lid... I decided to design it to keep as much of the vapor inside while having a safety feature that wouldn't allow pressure to build up. Hence the safety BB and Mini Clothespin p
