Action Camera Hang Mount

This is a 2 part camera mount I made that fits the standard GoPro/Action camera type connector.

The first part is just the base with two arms that go around the sides and up to the top with a couple of holes where fishing line can be tied. I also tied some fishing line around the base of the mount in case the arms broke for some reason, but I haven't had issues with that happening yet.

This was designed so I could lower it into the water off a fishing pier to see what was going on. The base version (without the legs) could end up with seaweed filling the frame so I added an attachment for legs.

The leg attachment uses barbecue skewers that are just friction fit into it. There's a place for weights to be attached.

I tried to make this with a small amount of plastic with thin walls to keep the buoyancy down.

I also have a bit of bubble wrap tied to the fishing line above the mount to keep the line out of the shot.
