The intended use of the this adjustable braille tablet is to teach blind children how to read braille. Multiple braille tablets could be used to spell out words, each tablet representing a letter (or number) in the braille alphabet.
NOTE: When the small hole on the plate with pegs (the top plate) is on the bottom half of the tablet, it indicates the the tablet is in the correct orientation for reading the letter or number.
BUMPERS
One or two braille dots can be locked in a raised position by popping a "bumper" into place from underneath the tablet. The double bumper (as the name suggests) will raise two of the dots, while a single bumper will raise either the left or right dot in a row depending on its orientation.
ASSEMBLY
To assemble the tablet, begin by placing the plate with depressions flat-side-down on a flat surface. Then drop all six dots into position so each has the taller bump facing up. After the dots are in position, squeeze glue into the depressions in the cent
