This is a simple, adjustable filament spool rack. It consists of a single 3D-printed connector or "bone" (2 required) and two (2) wooden dowels (1.125"dia). The holes are slightly oversized to allow the adjustable bone to slide on the dowels. On one end, however, the bone should be fixed to the dowels to keep them in place. This can be done by wrapping masking tape around the end of the dowels until a snug fit is achieved or simply hot-gluing them in the holes.
Update: A suggestion was made to use screws instead of masking tape or hot glue to fix the bone to the dowels. I have prepared v2 of the file that has holes and a counterbore to accommodate a Philips round head wood screw (approx. 22mm (7/8"} long). Thanks to Namilim for the idea.
The dowels are 24" long and the rack will accommodate up to eight (8) spools. The adjustable bone wedges under slight pressure and holds the spools tightly together.
This rack can be made to virtually any length but should have extra bones placed
