I took the same basic design as my original but completely remodeled it to a larger scale (¾ inch instead of ½ inch) which allowed me to make the parts stronger, remove the ugly bump where the “sleeve” hook attached, and support all of the most common hex key sizes, metric and imperial, up through ¼ inch.
For assembly, the sleeve and locking screw parts have to be hooked together before attaching them to the main body. It is possible to install the wedge and rear adjustment screw into the locking screw component before attaching the whole assembly to the main body (in which case, all you should have to do is align the wedge with the track in the main body. I recommend working in the screws before assembly to avoid snags.
