Adjustable Spool Holder Base

After printing and assembling a ball bearing spool holder, I realized I needed a method to hold the components together so that they were parallel to each other and could be adjusted for various spool holder widths. With this design the spool holder pieces are held together and do not need glue.

The base uses a sliding mechanism to accommodate spools from 45-70 mm in width. The design was created to print quickly with minimum material. I have the base sitting on top of my 3D printer enclosure and can move it slightly to compensate for filament usage or spool width. Velcro could be used to hold the base in place after adjustment but is probably not necessary.
