Description
---------------
Holder / adjustable stand for light parts (< 1kg) such as a microscope. You can add other parts by adding a custom fitting with 2xM3 holes at 10mm apart. Has a knob for adjusting the height of the object, tighten nut to adjust friction. See the README file for more details.
Requires that you add some heavy rocks/scrap metal in the base for stability.
To print
----------
1 x arm
1 x gear
1 x knob
1 x neck
1 x rack
(1 x plate - if you have the same microscope as me)
2 x leg
After printing, fill the triangular hole in the "neck" object with something heavy.
In my case I took old screws, nails and other left over scraps of metal and filled
in with epoxy. It gives a very stable and nice feeling to the stand.
The arm can be positioned forwards or backwards so that the center of mass of
everything is within the area of the "legs". You can test it by hanging it lightly by
from the arm (light fingers, a thread through the holes etc)
