This is a project within the framework of the Digital Fabrication course conducted in Universidad de Chile's FabLab in Santiago, Chile.
The idea is to create a support for a small LED light, typically the ones that can be bought in supermarkets or online. The support can be oriented in a desired direction thanks to a ball and socket joint. This system allows for a better orientation of the light flow to have a more effective and appropriate lighting over the desired area. On the base of the object, a system must be used to maintain the position of the support.
The idea is to be able to move the light wherever it may come useful.
Process used : FDM 3D printing
Parts :
- LED light (to find separately) - Dimensions : 68.5 x 21.2 (d x h)
- Socket
- Ball (lower half)
- Ball (upper half)
- Socket Cover
- Light Support
- Capsule
Approximate cost including light: 3500 CLP / ~4$
Note that some parts of the printed prototype had to be sanded down to improve the fit of
