Aimpoint 2000 Extended Battery Cap

I own an Aimpoint 2000 red dot sight for many years. The batteries that run it are two small coin cells, surrounded by a small metal bracket that holds them properly stacked. The coin cells don't last long and are clumsy to replace. I recently came across the manual for this sight, and it mentioned that they made a 'long' battery cap so that you can use a single, longer life, 3v lithium battery. I called Aimpoint, and they said they were no longer available. Fusion 360 to the rescue!
This is a simple design with no frills. I placed a hole in the cap so that the negative pole of the battery can reach the inside wall of the battery compartment to complete the power circuit. The battery positive pole points to the outside of the cap. The negative pole sits on the inside of the cap, pressed against a small piece of solder wick which acts as a conductor and snakes out the side hole. The solder wick snakes out the side hole and is pressed against the outside barrel of the cap so
