This is my take on an air powered sponge filter using filters with a 2 cm through hole that I got on Amazon. The components are designed with little clearance to ensure a tight fit and will need some sanding. You can either pass air tubing through the hole in the sponge top"and then attach a stone further down in the filter or you can pass the tube from the air stone through the sponge top and attach the tubing there. The sand base screws on with an M6 10mm hex head screw. You might be able to find suction cups that will slide into the bolt hole too. If you use screws, consider stainless steel.
If you want to add a filter on the same air stone, you can use the dual holder. If you use the dual holder, you can push the sponge base's open end into the table about 15 mm and shorten stop printing before the screw section. This will reduce the total width.
I'm not sure how long a tube is needed for exhaust but I'm guessing longer moves more water. The exhaust tube outer d
