Air2 3D Printer

What do you do with a 3D printer that you don't use much? Use it to print another printer that you'll use even less. Based on some cheap lasercut alunimium plates I’d seen on ebay that were cut from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:14204/#files The original 'AIR' printer by Meccano. I was determined to fit a PSU and electronics in the space beneath the y axis in the base and some effort went into the cooling of it by pulling air thru the grill in front of the control board then through a duct under the y axis across the psu and out of the 2 fans in the back. I really enjoyed this exercise in functional solid model designing for 3d printing. Rapid, iterative design and printing is brilliant in that you can try a part and if not quite happy try an improved one within hours.
