This is a WIP. The goal is to have a set of parts that can be used to build an airboat, which is basically just a motor mount, a servo mount and a rudder mechanism. I will add the parts to this thing as I model and print them.
I designed the motor mount for an Emax CF-2822 and a 10x5 propeller which is what I had, so any motor that uses the same 22mm diameter mounting holes and any propeller smaller than a 10x5 should fit.
I'm using 3/8" aluminum tubing as a structural element because it was free (it was found in a garbage pile on the sidewalk), but it should be cheap and easy to find. I also use 3x5x5 brass inserts for M3 screws. I will use M5 screws for now, but I may change this in the future so that every screw is a M3 and the brass inserts are captive nuts instead.
The rudder mount is two pieces of the same aluminum tubing. Rudder blades will have to be cut from depron or any other sheet-like material, which will then be attached to printed parts which will also have cont
