Since boxes like eSUN filament box cost nearly a 100 bucks, just to keep your single (!) filament roll dry and tempered, I designed my own. You'll need these addons to make it work:
- A hygrometer / thermometer ( I used this one: https://www.ebay.de/itm/264347580514 )
- A heat mat ( i.e. https://www.ebay.de/itm/Heizmatte-wahlweise-5W-7W-14W-20W-28W-35W-45W-Heizmatten-Terrarium-Heizung/163701295512?var=463192412926 )
- Some rubber glue or rubber bands for the lid's cutout rim
- Alternatively some sponge for the lid ( instead of silica )
- Some plexiglass to cover the cutouts on the front
Since you can add silica in the holder at the backside of the box, it will keep your filament dry, i.e. for large prints. The head bed will get rid of air moisture, while the silica or the sponge attract that fluid.
You could also replace the filament outlet with a real nozzle, but since the hole is so small and the inside heat is high, it will prevent too much moisture to enter the box.
