Algebra TacTiles is an attempt to create a highly tactile interactive version of common algebra tiles for multiplication and simplification of an algebraic formula or expressionThe board consists of two parts that can be connected via a hinge and an M3x10 screw. There are two inserts that we printed in TPU to reduce friction between the tiles and the board. There are three tile types:x^2 tile: this has dimensions x by x and area x^2 in both the positive and negative x tile: this has dimensions x by 1 and area of x, again with a negative tile providedone tile: 1 by 1, area of 1, with a negative 1 tile The tiles are designed such that an x tile can only connect to an x^2 tile along the x-dimension side, and to a one tile along the 1-dimension side so that incorrect connections do not fit correctly.All parts are printed in PLA on Prusa MINI printers with two exceptions:The board pieces were printed on MK3S printers due to sizeThe board inserts were printed on MK3S with FLEX filament The e
