Alien Meson Gunship Mk1

This is a replica of the most common alien warship encountered so far. Named the Mk1 initially and thereafter called commonly the eyeship, it has three main gun mounts positioned in a similar design to the aliens eyes. The middle area is believed to be the bridge area but much other information on the ship is still classified. The ship has interstellar capacity and also sublight engines, and carries three very powerful but short ranged meson type beam weapons. All three guns can fire forward so this limits the tactics as they tend to charge into close range and rely on their guns to destroy any target. If they fail to destroy the enemy on the first pass they are vulnerable while they turn to repeat the charge.
The focus of tactics is always to hit their ships at range before they can get in close, but as they always seem to appear in teams of three and can overwhelm a single Federation cruiser. They don't seem to have any dedicated shields but are heavily armoured with a living outer
