The USCSS Nostromo was a commercial tug owned and operated by Weyland-Yutani, usually for towing their automated orbital refineries to and from planets.

In 2122, the Nostromo was unexpectedly rerouted to investigate a planet (now known as Acheron/LV-426), and there the crew would encounter their worst nightmare yet...
