This is an alpine conveyor with friction chain, which is a very common solution in manufacturing industry. Normally used to make elevators or buffers for products. An alpine conveyor consists of a flexible chain that goes upwards or downwards in levels. Very useful if the allowed footprint allows a footprint that is narrow in one direction and long in the other direction. The slopes of an alpine normally varies between 5-15 degrees. At 5 degrees no friction chain is needed. Nothing slips on 5 degrees, which is very good for making space efficient, accumulating product buffers. On 7 degrees most products slip a little. Every product above 7 degrees will need a friction chain. In this case, the slopes are 12 degrees which seems to be the steepest possible with Bambu TPU 95A HF. A softer TPU will probably have higher friction and allow for steeper slopes. The higher the product, the longer the alpine needs to be and/or steeper angle. This conveyor is suitable for educational purposes, prototyp
