On the first version of the "Altekruse - Simple Variation", an equal number of left and right-hand pieces (three each) is printed to play.
On this second version, an unequal number of left and right-hand pieces, as mentioned by Stewart T. Coffin, is needed to solve the puzzle. However, the number of left and right-hand pieces is left for you to discover.
It is advised to print five copies of left-hand piece and two copies of right-hand piece (or the other way) and try all possible combinations to solve.
Note: The color of the pieces in the image is not an indicator of left/right-hand pieces, hence not a hint on the solution. The objects are scaled to 75% on Ultimaker Cura.
