Altoids Tin Chess Set

This chess set is designed to go anywhere you go! I've integrated space for 3mm x 1mm circular magnets to be embedded into the base of each piece, so that they set into place with a satisfying snap when you make your move. They should fit pretty snugly in the base of each piece, but I used a dab of superglue on the inside of each piece in order to hold the magnets in place.
I spray-painted the checkerboard pattern onto this board by applying a layer of tape as a mask over the board, using a utility knife to cut along the boundaries separating squares, and pulling off alternating squares.
