Since I had the cable chain next to the bed I had the problem that while idling oozing filament dropped into the cable chain.
I wanted to fix that, but somehow ended up creating a nozzle wiper for the printer, which kind of does the job. Sometimes filament still drops into the chain, but it is hardened and no longer a harm for the wires.
Maybe I will invest more time into the model in the future to create a ramp or increase the surface over the chain, but for now I am pleased with the result.
There is an inverted V slot inside the mount, where the rubber can be pushed in from the side. I used a kitchen spatula from a dollar store. Basically a plastic handle, which is now a back scraper and the silicone spatula which I cut into shape to fit using scissors. Since it is made for kitchen usage it is perfect for the job and also heat resistant and flexible, so it can be pushed away by the nozzle.
To "configure" the proper cleaning action I adapted the start gcode of my slicer.
