Add labels to these cheap Amazon clips to identify fabric. Quilting wife demanded them! A drop of CA glue in the concave cutout will hold the tags. Used 0.2mm nozzle diameter since characters are so small. The waste area around each ID is 0.2mm from the IDs for easy removal.
