Hi guys,
I remixed (basically cut the front part and created a new face) this VESA holder from Mr. CapTec (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4853500/files) to incude the complete original mechanism of an Amscope or similar microscope instead of dissasembling it and installing it in a heavy/expensive 3D print with 60-70% infill.
This solution uses a M8 bolt with a washer at the screw hole that the original mount already has for attaching it on shafts. The 3d print hole is 10mm leaving some air.
Inside the original mount there is a metallic ring that you must rotate so that the bolt goes through the opening without damaging the ring.
The print only requires 15% infill and is very strong for its purpose but feel free to adjust this to your needs.
Hope you enjoy it,
BR,
George
