This is a replica of an ancient Egyptian canopic jar.Type: Canopic Jar and Lid.Significance: In ancient Egyptian funerary practices, these jars were used to store and preserve the viscera (internal organs) of the deceased during mummification.Deity: The falcon-headed lid represents the god Qebehsenuef (one of the Four Sons of Horus), who was specifically the protector of the intestines.Deity: The jackal-headed lid represents the god Duamutef (one of the Four Sons of Horus), who was specifically the protector of the stomach.NOTE: You may notice a bit of stringing on the inside of the jar, at the top. You can add supports to the inside to alleviate that. I chose not to put supports inside, to reduce on print time and material use. It was easy enough for me to clean up the few strings, that were on the inside and won't be seen. Boost MeIf you enjoyed this model and have a boost to give, I would really appreciate it. These help me to continue making models like this. Thank You!
