ancient shrine

This is a model of a japanese shinto shrine. The buildings have an array of architectural features found across the shinto religion. The positioning of the buildings in the shrine is important too because the fountain for cleansing your hands and face is found shortly after the tori. The tori marks the entrance to a holy ground or worship area.
