There are plenty of counters like this on thingiverse. I use them to track obnoxious numbers of tokens or counters in Magic the Gathering - d10s are just too slow when Grolnok needs a half dozen chaining triggers to function in brackets 2 or 3.
After trying out several designs I've found here, none of them are exactly what I want, so I set out to combine the benefits of the two best ones I could find (see "Remixed From" below)
FChamberlain's design has great aesthetics, but I never had much success printing it without the bridging looking like garbage, so I never even got far enough to try out the locking system.
I love the adjustable friction in TheDuker's design, but the recessed letters printed a lot worse, and the rounded design didn't speak to me as much
My goals were:
- Easy to print (no supports, no bridging, transition point for color changes on single-material printers)
- The good aesthetics, at least from the front (from Fchamberlain's design)
- A screw to adjust fric
