So here's my thinking. The core piece passes through the cooler lid and you print two of the collars to screw onto it from both side to secure it. Because the core piece is longer and threaded, you can adjust how far into the cooler the Anova goes so it might work for various size coolers. It's also removable. If you print a shorter copy of the core piece and fill it with insulating foam, you can make a separate "plug" to plug the hole on the cooler lid when you want to use it as a cooler. I suppose I can whip up an actual plug but this is a start.

This will need a 2 7/8 in hole. A 3 in hole will work since the collar flange is large enough to cover it and it would be fine for what it's being used for.
