As a ant keeper i need tons of nests. Sadly most of the time they are really expensive.Thats when i decided to make one myself. PLA is fine, but for optimal use PETG would be better for the water. Its a great ant nest for a colony of 20-100 ants.SMALL SIZED ANTS ONLY!!! the Biggest ants i have used it on are Messor Structors. Lasius nigers would fit too! The Tube size is 10mm, the tube hole is 9.8mm for a thight fit.I used a microscopic glass of 76mm * 25mm with WITH SHARP CORNERS NOT ROUND CORNERS!!! to cover up the top. (See link below)Mesh needs to be extremely fine, the thinner the mesh holes the better. (link below for example) Glue is optional as its a perfect fit. Because of that it might be hard to get it in.You need to press all corners in at the same time for it to fit. i advise to place it a little sideways and turn it so it goes it perfectly, then apply pressure. It might take a few tries to get it on. You can edit my design how ever you want, please be sure to add a link o
