Antique door knob spindle

This doorknob spindle was made to fit a smaller hole of a more modern latch assembly, while still being able to fit the screws to attach the antique doorknobs to the spindle. This was created, because the metal spindles we bought with our antique doorknobs were slightly too big to fit into the square in the latch assembly of our existing door(knob)s. The latch assembly this model's spindle fits should be from the mid/late 1980's-2000's. To be perfectly honest, the best approach I've found was to use a tiny Dremel bit to widen the plastic piece on my latch assembly so the antique metal spindle would fit, but this model should work fine in a pinch. Just be cautious that wear and tear on a door spindle means a 3D printed part isn't the best for longevity. The pictures are showing a print made with PETG. this was chosen in order to try to avoid catastrophic failure (from what I've read, PETG should have a bit more give before snapping, compared with PLA).
