Anycubic i3 Mega Feeder Cooler

On my Anycubic i3 mega I had problems with prints that use a lot retraction movements. The stepper motor of the filament feeder got so hot, that the filament got soft and bent within the feeder.
I created a little box that takes two 40mm PC cooling fans to blow cool air into the feeder mechanism. Since then I had no failing prints anymore.
As my printer is build into a cabinet I added two hose connectors to suck in and blow out the air. If you are using the printer without a cabinet, these hose connectors can be left out.
The fans typically run with 12V and can be connected to the free power supply connector within the printer. That way they run automatically when the printer is switched on.

The photos show a version where I glued the parts with a hot glue gun. Don't do that ;) Use glue that is more heat resistant.
I use a rubber band to fix the cooler box, because the two hoses sometimes move the cooler apart.
