This is a simple filament filter.
Cut 2 pieces kitchen sponge to size (roughly 2.5 x 2.5cm) and slide them in.
It's designed for the Anycubic Mega-S which has the filament sensor screwed to the side of the frame. This screw is used to attach this filter.
Probably the other Mega variants have a similar fixing...
During installation or on a filament change, you can just rotate it down and up again catching the filament between the sponges. Adjustment might also be need a bit based on how much filament there's on the spool although it has a large tolerance for that.
