It's getting close to Chrismas, so thoughts go to LEGO. Thought I would resurect an old project and share with your good selves.
These are custom size links/struts/triangles which are compatible with lego techic connectors. You can use them to build custom linkages. I have included the Jansen Leg linkage dimensions with the intention of printing a walker.
You can annotate the ends of the links with letters, which really helps with construction.
Be aware that the settings on the Slicer are really important for getting the connectors to fit, I would recomend a few test prints before you try anything big.
For an easy ride I would start by editing the Jansen Leg file. It is worth noting that the points of the trinagle go A->B->C clockwise. l1 is A->C, l2 is A->B and l3 is B->C.
If you want to dig deeper then you can try and decode lego_beams.scad I had a look; and even though I wrote it (only 3 and a half years ago) it was somewhat cryptic. But in the sprit of "if it ain't b
