Aqqa Gyre Wave Maker Protector

I designed this to primarily protect small fish/shrimp from being as easily sucked into the gyre. The protector sleeve complements the existing horizontal grid with a new vertical grid to add an extra layer of defence). Obviously not tested on actual fish so please, I am not liable for your own decision to use this. I also found that by default the gyre is a little too strong for my 243L tank, even on 30%. I anticipated this protector would diffuse the output somewhat and bring the velocity down, which it has (for better or worse in your circumstance, but it is a good thing for me!). I run the gyre at 30% power and turn it off at night via an automation. I'm happy to say my aquarium plants are now swaying gently rather than being thrown around and co2 is more evenly distributed. To install simply slide over the end of the gyre and it should be snug enough to stay in place. Hope this helps someone!
